Hong Kong Harbour Tour

Crossing Victoria Harbour on the Star Ferry is a must in Hong Kong. This commuting voyage between Hong Kong Island and  the  Kowloon  peninsula dates from 1880 and it is not only affordable but also the best way to start getting to know this city.

The ferry company offers two Harbour Tours as well, one during the day and another one at night. The Day Tour aboard the Shining Star  is worth every Hong Kong dollar.

You can seat both inside or outside on the deck
Departure from Tsim Sha Tsui

This is the beautiful Aqua Luna ship , where you can also tour the harbour http://aqualuna.com.hk/ in a fancier way.

Nearly Found by Elle Cosimano: review.

Nearly Found (Nearly Gone, #2)
Not nearly as good as Nearly Gone , the first book by the author. I liked reading about Nearly Boswell again but I expected much more.

The story revolves around her father's past and I found it nearly boring. Thanks to her internship in a crime lab this amateur sleuth has access to evidence in a murder investigation and even if I understand this is a work of fiction the low security in that lab seems quite (not nearly) unbelievable.

Perhaps due to my lack of sense of humour when reading the novel I found certain conversation between the main character and her best friend's brother specially annoying .

All in all I was nearly disappointed.

Salad on Corn Thins: Summer Recipe

I came up with the recipe for this salad after reading in a sports magazine about the beneficial effects  of eating celery . I bought the celery and just added what I had at home and it turned out pretty good. This is a healthy and delicious snack ideal for summer days when you don't feel like cooking .

Lijiang Waterfall Hotel : Waterfall Show

If you happen to be walking around one of the pedestrian streets in Guilin (China) late in the evening ,you'll be surprised by the sound and the sight of a huge waterfall on the facade of the Lijian Waterfall Hotel.

I had never seen anything like that and it was indeed original.Tourists gather around and for a few minutes the bustling activity of the street seems to stop.

You can check the exact time of the show at the front desk of the hotel.
