Before We Met by Lucie Whitehouse : review

Before We Met
This book seemed to me like a cautionary tale for women in their thirties or older who may think that it is still possible to marry a nice guy who is not a psychopath and I didn't like that idea but I liked the book. It makes you want to read on until you find out what is going on.

I recommend this book to fans of mystery novels ,but if you have just started dating somebody who seems to be the one, just don't read it because you may end up asking him endless questions about his past , his school , his friends and googling him on the internet 24/7 just in case. That will certainly ruin the relationship and turn you into a psycho unless he is lying through his teeth and has a hidden past .

Batu Caves in Malaysia

Not far from Kuala Lumpur , thirteen km (seven miles),there is an impressive sight worth visiting known as Batu Caves. It is the site of a Hindu temple and shrine and boasts an enormous statue of a Hindu God.

After climbing 272 steps you will get to the entrance of the main cave, so bear this in mind and wear comfortable shoes. There are a lot of monkeys in the area which some people love to feed and they  take selfies with them .

Reclaimmed by Sarah Guillory: review.

Reclaimed
This is a beautiful book about love and loss, full of hope and sorrow, anger and forgiveness. A ray of light in the darkness of solitude.

A must read.

Colony Season Finale : opinion

I really expected this TV show to be much better and even if I like Josh Holloway, the series disappointed me deeply. What started as a promising sci fi / adventure/ family drama ended up being IMHO a soap opera with special effects, this may sound harsh but there were several things which  ruined it for me:

1-The limited information given about the aliens and about everything in general. I guess we will have to wait more seasons to see one and  to know what's really going on . Unfortunately I may have lost interest by that time.

2- The relationship between Josh Holloway and Sarah Way Callies. Saying that they have miscommunication problems in their marriage  is an understatement.

3-Seeing Adrian Pasdar (Nathan Petrelli  in Heroes) getting  involved in a weird romantic relationship with Amanda Righetti (Grace Van Pelt in The Mentalist).

Flawed by Cecilia Ahern: opinion

Flawed (Flawed, #1)
I don't really know what to make of this book,I found the plot absurd, implausible . The way the characters behaved was difficult to understand  and at the same time predictable.I guess that after having read many dystopian novels I found this one too unbelievable to be considered dystopian. On top of that there was a lot of  pointless and unnecessary cruelty which I found unbearable .
However, I would never say that it was badly written because it wasn't, Celia Ahern is an experienced novelist and many people may find this novel appealing.

The Cameron Highlands' Boh Tea Plantation in Malaysia

For a tea lover visiting The Cameron Highlands's plantations where the delicious Boh tea is harvested is a must. The scenery is spectacular and for those tired of the heat and humidity it will be a welcome break, you may even need a sweater. Mind you, the road up there is extremely winding and I ended up quite car sick.

In the plantation you will be able to see how tea is processed , and also to enjoy a hot cup at the café which overlooks the fields.
