The Two-Family House by Linda Cohen Loigman

The Two-Family House

What a charming novel ! A delightful read with a moving plot and very well developed characters. A novel about the choices we make in life and how to live with them.

A welcome change after so much YA literature for me .

Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul by Zaha Hadid

The architect Zaha Hadid and the Korean studio Samoo designed this beautiful landmark in the amazing city of Seoul. It opened in 2014 and since then it has been the place to gather at night both for Koreans and tourists.

It is based on the concept of a Metonymic Landscape and it combines successfully Korean tradition and a state-of-the art design. It is a beautiful venue for concerts and all sorts of exhibitions .

I visited it by day  and night and I tirelessly walked around it several times, took hundreds of pictures and it quickly became my favourite place in the city.

Zaha Hadid created something unique, you cannot miss it if you go to Seoul!

There happened to be a concert one of the nights I visited the plaza. It was wonderful!

During my stay in Seoul I was incredibly lucky to enjoy The Rose Garden: more than 25 thousand roses to celebrate Korean Independence Day.It was one of the most fascinating things I have ever seen, a delight for the eyes.

After Anna by Alex Lake : opinion.

After Anna

Unfortunately I didn't really like any of the characters ,except for the child. I found the book too sad and too cruel; it was closer to a horror novel than to a mystery one.
Although if you like suffering with the characters and don't mind ending a book with a feeling of unease you may like it.

Ke Lok Si Temple in Penang Malaysia

This is one of the most beautiful Chinese temples I have ever seen. It is not far from the city of Georgetown and  you can get there by  taxi for around 25 MYR or by  bus to Air Itam  for around 2 MYR.

It is going to be crowded so you will enjoy it more if you are an early bird, the entrance fee is around 2 MYR . The temple has a lower part and an upper one that you can access via a lift (3 MYR) .

Ke Lok Si is really worth seeing . I have been there twice and wouldn't hesitate to go back.
